youtube love.

When I was younger, I used to watch Mtv and just wait for my favorite music videos to come on. There weren't too many so I knew my favorites would come on at least twice that day. One of them was black hole sun by soundgarden because it was so strange, plus I liked soundgarden a lot when I was seven.

then as I got older, I began to like music from before I was born. I looked everywhere to find music videos for bands like Joy Division, The Who, The Kinks, Otis Redding, Madness. but alas, no where to be seen. then you tube came along. I dunno sometimes I still get so excited knowing I kind type in any musician I like into youtube and then watch them play my favorite song. that is how accessible music is, whether or not it's a good or bad thing. music has become such a big part of everyone. no matter who you are, you have a strong opinion on music and what genre you like best. anyway, i went way off tangent there. I just wanted to post some of my favorite music videos..
Paranoid Android- Radiohead. The first time I saw this i though it was from the odyssey, you know that weird hour of strange cartoons mtv had. it's such a great animation. I love when he just climbs up the lamp post and sits.

radiohead is just efficient with their music as well as the videos. I saw them live once when I was like 16. they were incredible. heres one of my favorite songs by them How to Disappear Completely. It's one of the most perfect songs I've ever heard. what instruments are they playing in the back?

away from radiohead for a minute.
I was really excited the first time I saw Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division. boring music video, but I had never seen them perform before.

Otis Redding- I've Been Loving You

What gets me about music like this, and al green and smokey robinson etc is that their songs are the highest form of love songs. you get love songs today, but they are pretty whack for the most part and or they don't really convey the message that well. but these, these are straight to the point, they are the songs that could make you fall in love with whoever sings it to you.
last one. Edith Piaf- La Foule.
